The Rio Bonito de Lumiar Institute is a non-profit private research institution, whose objective is to foster  socio-environmental education and the preservation of nature in association with the improvement of the quality of local life. IRBL is responsible for the creation of the project and its implementation, which has relied on a research phase on the community and the local environment.
Under the technical coordination of biologists Leonardo Tavares and Henrique Santos,  IRBL conducts the activities of trail maintenance, study of local fauna and flora, fixing E.A. information signs, study of environmental impact, and others.
